COMMUNITY CHURCH SERVICE

On Sunday, Aug. 16, the tent in Agricultural Park will resonate with the strumming of ukuleles as the Bayfield Ukulele Society will provide the music for the Bayfield Fair Community Church Service.

Worship will begin at 10 a.m. to celebrate the blessings of the harvest in keeping with the fair theme, “Apple Pies & Harvest Skies”. All are welcome to join the congregations of St. Andrew’s United Church, Knox Presbyterian Church and Trinity St. James Chapel of Ease at this special service.

It is recommended that participants bring their own lawn chair.

Notes from the Clerk of Session:

Our normal weekly service will not be held at the church but at the Agricultural Park. Service will be begin at 10:00 a.m. (so not at 11:00 which is our normal service time). We will be joining with the other congregations in the village for this service. I am not aware that we need to bring a lawn chair as they usually provide chairs for this service. So come and join us at the park, under the big tent, pray for no rain (or at least until we all get under the tent) and share in this wonderful service with the other congregations and anyone from the Village who wishes to join in. Music will be provided by the Bayfield Ukulele Society.

Knox Book Club ladies started a new book on May 26.   It isn’t too late to join us!

Our next meeting will be held at the Bayfield Library at 2pm on August 18th.

There are no more books available to borrow from our church library, however you can purchase one down the street from The Village Bookstore.

Pick up your book and meet old and new members!  Hope to see you there!
