Friends in Christ, may the grace of God be with you.
The people of Knox Bayfield acknowledge that our community worships, lives, plays, and works on the traditional lands of the Anishinabewaki, Attiwonderonk (Neutral), and Mississauga peoples within Treaty 29, of 1827.
About Us
About Knox Church: We are the little church with a BIG heart. Our congregation includes year-round and seasonal congregants. Join in our worship services and groups, whether you are a visitor or a resident. Our arms are open to you.
ALL are welcome.
Knox hosts many events and contributes to the life of the Bayfield community. The church holds a Yard Sale & BBQ, hosts a community dinner, and participates in the Soups on Bayfield competition. Kintail on the Road summer vacation bible school welcomes children (5-10 yrs old) on Wednesday during July and August.

Welcome to our student minister! Emily is between her 2nd and 3rd year of studies at Knox College in the Master of Divinity program. She is from Sundridge, ON, which is a small village just north of the Muskokas. Before following God’s call into ministry, Emily worked as an archaeological scientist at The University of Western Ontario and at the University of Bristol in the UK. She is passionate about worship: what we do in church on Sundays, and how we can live missional, worship-shaped lives that share Christ’s love with the world. She feels called to ordained ministry in the Presbyterian Church in Canada, and is looking forward to worshipping, working and growing this summer with the congregation at Bayfield!
Thank you to our Summer 2018 Student Minister – Emily Webb
Emily has returned to her studies at Knox College. She will be missed by many in our community. We are thankful for her pastoral presence among us!
About the Community: Bayfield is situated between Goderich and Grand Bend. This quaint, rural, cultural village offers gourmet dining and cosmopolitan style boutiques. Award winning authors and well known musicians are drawn by the village’s mystique.
Bayfield, the second oldest community in Huron County, was built in 1882 and named after Captain Bayfield who was commissioned after the war of 1812 to do a major survey of the Great Lakes. The community has a year round population of 1,720 and is situated in the municipality of Bluewater with a population of 7,500. In the summer the community’s population swells with vacationers and visitors.

A Franciscan Blessing
May God bless you with discomfort at half-truths, easy answers, & superficial relationships,
so that you will live deeply & from the heart.
May God bless you with anger at injustice, oppression, & the exploitation of people,
so that you will work for justice, freedom, & peace.
May God bless you with tears to shed for those in pain,
so that you will reach out your hand to them & turn their pain into joy.
May God bless you with just enough foolishness to believe that you can make a difference in this old world,
so that you will do those things that others say cannot be done.
